I recently brought a scooter from a boot sale (working condition) but did not have a charger. As the had left it at home (as they say). This scooter does not have a seat. Basically it has two 12v batteries and a pretty powerful motor. It says on the scooter "Agressor". This means that this is a 24v scooter. I was not sure to use a 12v or 24v charger

Anyway I just wanted to find out which charder should I get as I have been using a 12v with 0.8a and gave it a 24 hour charge and did not work at all .

The battery details are
12V 4.5AH
Floating Use: 13.5 - 13.8v
Cycle Use: 14 - 15v
Initial current: 1.6A

Both of the batteries are exactly the same and made by Feng shun I think. Please help me as I am new.

Please advise me
Regards
Amzk

Since they are in series and many are 24 Volts, It is 24 Volts. Any Scooter store should be able to sell a charger, The plug in connector may or may not be a common one, and the connectors may be changed to different style to parts more easily available.

With the 12 volt charger, you could charge 1 battery at a time. Positive from charger to positive on Battery, Negative from charger to negative on battery.
You have to be careful the Jumper between the 2 batteries, and could be red or black, go by the battery identifiers, May be a red and black square. They can remain in series, when 1 is charged, charge the other. Good to see if it works before Buying new charger if yo haven't seen it run yet.

And I believe those are the same batteries used in some of the kids vechiles and the chargers you may find at walmart may work well for this.

And as noted you can charge each battery at a time.

I think it would be best to find a 12 VOLT CHARGER and charge each battery separately... Many times a

Person has two or three sets of jumper cables or two or three battery chargers... I have one that belonged

To my dad -- doesn't get used much... Prefer the PORTABLE JUMPER STARTER with self contained battery

Sometimes you can find a good charger at a garage sale -- really cheap if you know how to make a deal...

You can also look here:
24 volt scooter charger, Scooters, Parts Accessories items on eBay.com (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?from=R40&_trksid=m37&satitle=24+volt+scooter+charger&category0=)
Then if the seller looks like the are in the scooter business, you could ask seller a question about your model, You will need to verify the connector and polarity, or adapt. Good Luck

It may have too high a charge, I would click on the blue letters in my post and at least check out the 24 volt chargers.
