Hi new to this. Is it possible to clean a criminal record after a felony conviction. The person had a totally clean record until a domestic dispute which resulted in two felony convictions and one misdemour. Work weekends were assigned, probabtion and restitution also assigned. No prison time assigned. Spent one month in county jail until prelimary probabtion release.

The person will have to complete any probation requirement or fines (if any) are paid and then wait at least 8 or 9 years with no subsequent convictions and then try to get the convictions expunged. In the meantime there is nothing to do but wait.

First domestic violence charges are harder to clear, esp at this time, since they effect a persons right to carry weapons, can effect many jobs more so than just any other felony.
But every criminal has a clean record till they do their first crime. Not trying to be smart, but it is a true statement.
What has to happen now, is that they finish all of their probation time, don't get into any other trouble, wait about 8 years and then petition the court to explunge the records.
