I have black splotchy spots on my tongue. There is no swelling, pain or sensitivity. What causes this?

I'm experiencing the same thing. My dentist is concerned, so he wants me to see an oral surgeon. The appointment is tomorrow. I will come back and let you know what he says.

I would say you should consult a physician about that one.

Apparently, black taste buds on dark skinned people is common and not of consequence. Hairy tongue seems to be a disease.

Please do tell me... m having the same problem...
