I have an HE360A humidifier, an h8908b manual humidistat and a two stage Trane Furnace. The Furnace already has a 120 to 24v transformer wired to the furmace, which is how the old April air humidifier was wired.

There are two yellow wires coming out of the water inlet solenoid on the humidifire. There are also two yellow wires which are connected to the humidifier housing and motor.

I looks like I connect one of the solenoid yellows to one of the yellows on the housing and to one of the wires of the humidistat. The other wire on the humidistat goes back to the transformer. I then run a wire from the tranformer to the other yellow wire on the housing and connect to the yellow on the solenoid?

Does all this sound correct?

I am not familiar with the Honeywell unit. Are the motor and solenoid both 24 volts? If not, you will need a relay to power them. Otherwise if I followed your description, the humidifier would run anytime the humidistat called for moisture. Does the furnace have a terminal meant to power a humidifier? It will be hot whenever the blower relay is energized. With the humidistat drawing power from it, the humidifier would only run when the blower is on, an the humidistat calls for moisture.

Thanks for the reply. It looks like the transformer is connected to the HUM connection on the furnace because it's 120v to bring it to 24v. The Transformer is wired to only have power when the blower is on. The outlet that the humidifier will plug into is also only powered this way.
