During my last break up, my ex told me that she still did love and care about me, but the spark wasn't there anymore. Is that even possible? Or was she trying to let me down easily?

Honestly, I don't really care what she feels anymore. I could careless what she's doing or if I ever speak to her again. But I'm wondering for relationships in general if it's possible.

Maybe she meant that while she knows it won't work out between the two of you, she remembers the good times and still cares for you as a person. Sometimes after a breakup, you can still care a lot about the person, but you know that they aren't the right one for you. Does that make sense?

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. But if someone truly cared for the other person, wouldn't they try to keep them in their life in some way? My ex just totally shut me out yet she still claims she loves me. Not that I mind anymore, but it seems odd in a way.

You can truly care, but not enough to stop you from moving down a different path.

I think she was trying to let you down easily.

I agree.

I've def broken up with someone not because I stopped loving them, but because I knew it wasn't going to work out, that they weren't the one for me. :T
