All right I just started shaving... down there (I'm a girl btw) and I keep getting red spots right after what's the deal? I shave with conditioner so, I mean it can't be dry skin. Help me?

There is shaving cream for that area and a shaver just meant for women. So be careful the type of shaver that you are using cause it can cause those read spots.
Look for the shaver and shaving cream just for women and I do it in the shower and be sure and not be too rough, it's a very delicate area :)
Okay :)

I'll let you in on a little secret... Mom was the type you didn't ask girly things to... so I tried to learn on my own... didn't even ask my sisters.
When I first started to shave my legs, I just used a shaver... :( I didn't even know you were supposed to use shaving cream. But then one of my friends clued me in :).

I agree with Allheart, use a shaving cream and razor made for that area. Also, using a lotion or crème afterwards can help, just make sure it is a safe one to use there first. Also, shave with the way the hair grows, not against it.

I did that same thing and I didn't even tell my mom yet that I shave. Did you eventually tell your mom?

I have the same problem... but sometimes I bleed after... if the hair is really long try trimming it before you shave... you probably have really sensitive skin... so use a shaving cream meant for sensitive skin... sometimes they are little ingrown hairs... if you keep having problemsd with the bumps... try using creams that you get from the drugstore that help to clear up bumps redness and ingrowns... I use one called bikini zone... if the problem persists try waxing... dnt do it yourself though go to a spa... they'll have the right kind of wax meant for sensitive skin

The first time I shaved my legs I did it dry and with my dad's razor. I didn't have to tell them after that, Dad figured it out on his own the next day. Poor man.

I had this problem for a long time, and it always bothered me. But I finally got the courage to ask one of my friends. She told me to use new razors every time, even if they are non-disposable.. and ever since then I haven't had that problem.

You could make the skin moist like an hour or so before by applying moisturiser or body lotion so the skin is soft. Then shave with shaving cream and then apply aloe vera oil or moisturiser cream. You will get itchy when the hair grows back. Use good quality razors with multiple blades. This is normal.
