I'm 16 years old, 5 feet 3, 117 pounds and my breasts are a 34D. I hate them and they don't look right on me because their too big. Is there anything I can do to make them smaller? I want to get a brest reduction but I don't want to have scars and I'm scared that its going to hurt afterwards.

Too young. Your body is still growing, as you mature into your 20's, you might find you are better proportioned.
I have a daughter who is 21. She's a little taller than you, has been as big as a 34-36DD, and she, like you, has been frustrated at times, even asking for surgery, as you have. So we've had the same discussions.
The overall form she had at 16 isn't the same at 21. Her waist and hips are curvier, more mature. This changes the proportion to her chest, making her feel more balanced.
As she's grown, her body has changed some, and as she's excercised, she's even come down in size. She is still "chesty", but proportionally she's in a better place.
Try to be patient... your body is still forming. I know that's not much consolation to you know.

There is an exercise for it dolphin posture and it works, lay down on a surface like a fish and then move like fish swims, up your front body then feet vice versa, exercise could be a better remedy , and just relax try cool scarfs to cover your front and exercise :)

At least your sixteen. I have a friend that sounds exactly like you about your height, your weight and with 34D breasts and guess what? She's twelve. Yup that's right. 12. Don't have a breast reduction. When your older and having decent breasts matters to you then your going to regret it. Be happy with who you are!

Does your back hurt a lot because of your breast size? If it is causing you pain, I would say talk to your family doctor about your options. They may want you to wait until you are older. But, then again, I had a friend who had a breast reduction at 17 because of her back problems. The doctor can help you figure out what is best for you if it's causing you pain.

Well many factors, first they will not do one at your age ( at least a respected doctor won't, Next no 34D is not really that too large for your size, so I doubt it will even fit into the classification of need.
If you are in the US, this would be a non needed surgary since it is not effecting your health. So insurance is not going to pay for it, so you will have to fork over 10,000 to 15,000 dollars. Next of course you are going to have scars, both under the breast and around the nipple ( they have to normally acutually move the nipple depending on how much skin they take.
And you will hurt so bad you will be on bed rest for a few days and be limited to no lifting at all for 4 or 5 weeks ( sitting watching TV only)
And as the breats heal you will have various pains for months.

I know exactly how you feel but my case is worse. At 16 years old, I was 5 feet 8, quite a lot heavier than you (UK size 14) and my breasts were 34H (UK size)!! I absolutey hated my body. I can't tell you how to get over your body worries because I believe everybody does it in their own way. For me it was my boyfriend. He made me believe I was beautiful because he loved me just the way I was and I was comfortable with being me.
I don't think that a breast reduction is the way to go especially as you're so young. Give yourself time to grow :)

Oh you poor thing ! I also have a very large chest and I can say I am 26 and I have no insurance.. where my bra staps lay is always indented in my muscle and its painfull. When I was 17 I was supposed to get a reduction and I thought id wait see if I grew into them well I never did and I am paying for it noe, I get sexually harassed at work... its awful my advice to you, go to my space and look up audra powers in greenville nc and look at my pics you'll see that I know how you feel. I hunch over when I sit and I have horrible posture. I was and am still very embarrassed. Growing up with them like that men and woman act like it's a bad thing... when others pay for them... so I'd say if you can wait a year try exersise and then at 17 get one and who ever wrote a respectable dr. won't give you one is full of it and they never had a 36dd when they were in the 6th grade.and they keep growing if you have good insurance tell your dr. its hurting your back he'll send you to a speaclist and they can give you a redution I have seen my friends brests she had a redution and its not bad scaring and they re-shaping them make them more supple stand up straight it will change you life sweetie I really empathise with you look into it and it will hurt but you won't be in constant back pain like me
