Okay I need a real, very educated in bible study person to answer a question I have regarding the antichrist. In revelations 13- whatever.. it is talking about the antichrist am I right? Okay well can anybody sum it up.. like for instance it talks about the beast coming out of the water, which my interpretation is like the antichrist is " coming out of nowhere"... anyway please help me.

According to most bible scholars the antichrist will come from middle Europe. Reverlations is one of the hardest books to understand, because so much of it has not yet happened, we as mortal men cannot fathom how all this will take place. There are a lot of good books on the subject. Do you have cable or sat TV? On TBN there is a great program Bible Prophesy Revealed. The guy really explains things like this in a clear manner.

The term shows up a total of five times, singular and plural, all of them in two of John's epistles. Antichrist means against or instead of Christ. The term applies to all who deny what the Bible says about Jesus Christ, all who oppose his Kingdom, and all who mistreat his followers. It also includes individuals, organizations, and nations that falsely claim to represent Christ or that improperly ascribe to themselves the role of Messiah.

John also mentions apostates as among those of the antichrist by referring to those who “went out from us,” abandoning the Christian congregation. (1Jo 2:18, 19) It therefore includes “the man of lawlessness” or “son of destruction” described by Paul, as well as the “false teachers” Peter denounces for forming destructive sects and who “disown even the owner that bought them.”—2Th 2:3-5; 2Pe 2:1.

Kingdoms, nations, and organizations are similarly shown to be part of the antichrist in the symbolic description at Revelation 17:8-15; 19:19-21.—Compare Ps 2:1, 2.

!3-1 will be easier to understand if you remember that the great dragon is the original serpent, the one called Devil and Satan. The dragon [Satan] gave to the beast its power and its throne and great authority and the political governments as a wild beast.

Here is possibly a place for some confusion.. Verse 11 says, “Another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking as a dragon.”

This two-horned beast is the Anglo-American political combine

Just to add to these other remarks, the seven heads of this wild beast represent seven world powers - namely Egypt, Assyria, Babylon,Medo-Persia, Greece, Rome and the Anglo-American world power. The sea it comes out of represents humanity, since this is where these powers/governments were formed.

These things have/are being revealed to us at "the proper time" but it takes a lot of deep personal study to come to an "accurate knowledge and understanding" of what is in the whole bible and not just parts of it, so I'd encourage you to try and read it EVERY day and pray for help to understand it.

Dear ashleynbrett88

This question is about the Christian Bible, and asks for Christian answers.
Therefore it belongs on the Christianity board, I would say.

Why did you post it here, where there are much less "real, very educated in bible study persons" to answer a question??

I assumed Credendovidis that they posted it here so they may get non christian answers also. I have seen a theme of several new posters asking various posts that would normally been posted on Christian board, still tracking the trend.

But the real issue is , there is no ONE good answer, the prophetcy is so vague that it can mean almost anything you want it to mean, To some they can make it appear to be the Catholic Church, to others they make it American, heck lately many are showing how it can be Obama running for President Signs have been everything from Photo's, to ID's to Drivers license and more.

So what is your religious denomination, since the belief in exactly will be more defined as to what faith you follow

I'm surprised at this comment considering you are pretty up there with the Catholic church. By your remarks it seems that you don't really know yourself? Yet if there was no clearcut answer, why would God put it in the bible?
The prophesy certainly seemed vague to John at the time but every single image, sign and word presented to John has significant meaning for our day... especially our day! That is why we need to remain alert to what is happening around us right now because Babylon the Great (all false religion) will soon fall by means of the wild beast (Rev 17:16) and by then it will be too late to have a change of heart. It is through the holy spirit that the truth is revealed to us. Remember the words in Rev 1:3 "Happy is he who reads aloud and those who hear the words of this prophesy and who observe the things written in it, for the appointed time is near."

I think that only way that antichris become a world leader is if united nations become world government and secretary general new president of the world .

There is the spirit of antichrist, which is demonic and against Jesus and His followers.
