Can I catch anything from that and what are my chances?

That is horrendous. My question would be how do I get them back? But I'm vindictive like that.
Did you know you have more germs on your chopping board than in your toilet? A random cleaning product advert told me that. So maybe there is hope for you yet.
I suppose it depends on a number of factors like how clean was the toilet to start with? And whether anyone using it had any diseases. This site might be helpful Fecal-Oral Transmission - DrGreene.com (http://www.drgreene.org/body.cfm?id=21&ref=1088&action=detail)
Another random fact, when you flush the toilet water droplets get into the air and if your tootbrush is close onto that. So maybe you've already had a chance to get some immunity.
I wouldn't stress about it, it's things like this that your immune system is for. Hopefully if you did get in contact with anything nasty you have already fought it off.
How do you know your flatmate wasn't just trying to psych you out and that they didn't just say they'd done it?
