Hi. I'm 22 and I got convicted of a felony of conspiracy to distribute. I was wondering what kind of jobs I cana get. I am going for an interview at an eye doctor as a receptionist. Can they hire me with a Felony

Sure they can. You can GET any job as long as its offered and doesn't require a professional license that you don't have and can't get.

It may be HARDER for you to get work, but you CAN get work.

Just keep in mind that if they do ask you on an application for employment have you ever been convicted of a felony - you should answer correctly. Sometimes they ask have you ever been convicted of a felony within 3 years, 5 years or 7 years. Just read the application carefully and answer truthfully.

You may have trouble getting jobs that require you to handle money such as a cashier job or bank teller job or county or state jobs. Otherwise, just keep looking and applying to places and sooner or later you'll get hired.

There are some exceptions to this, I know where I used to work, if the employee was going to have personal contact with a elderly person on medicare, they were not allowed under federal law to have any felonly convictions.
