If I were to bake dinners for my friends and they pay me do I have to have anything special at my home?

As long as no one reports you to the health department, and no one gets sick from the food and sues you, or as long as the house does not burn down from cooking them,

To cook food for the public you have to have the kitchen inspected and approved by the health department. And of course you should have product liablity insurace, and your home insurance will have to have a part time business added to the home,
And that is only "IF" your home can be zoned for the business, or if you can get a permit for it to be a business. If you sell them dinners, you are suppose to pay tax.

I could go on and on, if you were to be 100 percent legal

Of course, all of the above is true. But, are you asking this question because you are thinking of making a business of baking dinners out of your home such as providing some sort of cooked meal service to others on a regular basis?
