Please take her to the vet immediately. It really sounds like she needs medical care.

Yes, exactly. Call the Vet.. if they are closed, call an emergency vet. They'll probably tell you to come in right away.

Thank you all for your feelings on my pom she is very sweet and we don't want to lose her. The vet was closed so I called the er vet and they said she will be OK for the night she got up and went down to the mail box with my husband but after that she was done. Two of our friends said give kids pain releaver to her so they did a small dose witch I telling you this because when I talk to the er vet they asked how much I said well 80mg witch is nothing when my 3 year little gril has to take 2 tablets of the 80mg they said yes but for a dog that's 10-15lb that a lot my child only way 30lb. And I let them know that my dog got up on my husbands lap and he gave her a little piece of pork, they so no more no way pork go after some part of all dogs it the worsed meat to feed yes all human food is bad but not like that. Were going in today to the vet here hope all is well but when it comes to paying now before the visti's it just can't happen my husband just had to big surgreys for cancer he under 30years old and I'm a stay at home mom he the worker but not for 3or4 months I wll let you know what we here thank you very much

Crystal,

You may not want to hear this, but a large solid hard lump on a dog makes me immediately think cancer. An infection wouldn't be hard. I'd really strongly suggest that you get the dog to the vet. Talk to the vet about your situation and see if they can work out some sort of payment plan, or at least give you an idea of what's wrong with the dog.

Very good advice. And please, don't let her suffer in pain because you don't have the money to take care of her. Talk to the vet, let them know, if you can't afford it, ask them what you should do.

I'm glad you called the emergency vet. When you take her to the vet, if you can't afford the treatment for whatever it is, then ask them what you should do. Often, they will work with you and let you make payments, but it depends where you go and what is wrong. If it is something that can be fixed and the dog will be able to be healthy after, I'm sure they won't let her suffer because you can't pay. I had to take a cat in for surgery when he was hit by a car, and they let me make payments.

I do think that cancer could be a possibility. Hopefully, it is something less serious! I really hope that doggie is OK and let me know what you find out!

My dog is 9 and she had something similar to that. She has one still on her stomach that with a biopsy they discovered it was just a "fatty deposit". However she had a hard one on her thigh which ended up being a cancerous tumor. I suggest you bring her to a vet ASAP before it gets worse. It could just be a cyst as well. GOOD LUCK WITH EVERYTHING!
