I am an Indian national who worked on CPT from January '07 - July'07 and returned on a H-1B visa in October '07 through Dec '07.

I am assuming I need to file a 1040NR based on earning > $10,000. Does anyone know of any software or tax companies can assist me in filing my taxes? I would like prices and pros/cons with your answers please!!

You will file nonresident tax return. On OPT income you will get standard deduction as per tax treaty between the U.S. and India. You will also file Form 8843.

Read about tax treaty: Your U.S. Tax Return: U.S. Tax Treaties for Students and Apprentices (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/us-tax-treaties-for-students-and.html)
