The following are some questions that you would need to answer and things that you will need to think about in writing a business plan for a reception hall.
Where will it be located?
Will you own, rent or maybe be building a new building? Consultation with an architect, a re-modeler or construction people and costs that will be incurred as well as any permits that you might need for start-up and also operating your reception hall should all be figured into your business plan.
Will you have a building that needs to be refurbished in some kind of way?
What will be the occupancy capacity for the reception hall?
What would be the hours of operation?
How many employees would you have?
What kinds of expenses will you have in running the reception hall and how will you pay for these costs? You will be having to pay for such things as maybe rent or a mortgage of some kind, salaries, utilities, insurance, equipment and taxes, etc.
Will you have food catered to the reception hall or will you do the catering yourself?
Other services and supplies that you might offer should also be considered in your business plan. For instance: entertainment, linens tables, chairs, decorations and party planning consulting.
Will you have liquor sold or served at the reception hall?
