Does anyone know a good service through which it is possible to purchase out of print books? I checked Ebay, and it is rather dismal. I am looking specifically for The Silver Nutmeg by Palmer Brown and The Easter Cat by Meindert DeJong. I got them from a library in elementary school that has since passed its copies on to the great library in the sky :(
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Both are available on Amazon, in hardcover as used books available from independent sellers. Just search Amazon by title and you will find them. I've ALWAYS had excellent service from these indie dealers. (P.S. Check for available Amazon copies in softcover.)
Otherwise, contact a used bookstore in your area or via the weekly book review section in your newspaper (usually there's a column for used bookstores nationwide). They will do a search for you (maybe will charge you a nominal amount of money to search).

What about Alibris? Found some great out of print books there for good price, even first editions.
