Around 1999-or2000 I was fired for theft and I know it was a stupid thing to do, it was 100 dollars. I was never arrested and/or charged for this act.

Well I'm older and trying to get a good job, how long will this be on my work history?

Did they have you charged and or arrested?

If not, most employers will not give any details regarding previous employment.

In most cases, all they will say is that the previous employee is not eligible for rehire, or is eligible for re hire. With that being said, how much damage would it do to your resume to not list this employer on any application you fill out?

If you were not criminally charged, then this employer is the only place that would have such a record.

Good Luck!

Ok, it is not on your criminal histroy, so if they do a criminal background check it will never show up.

Now if they call where you used to work and ask them why you left or how your work was, it is always there, as long as you list them as a place where you used to work.

If you had another job in the meantime after this one and can leave out the other job - do that.
