Yesterday I clicked update when prompted to compact my email from Outlook Express 6.
I have lost all emails from my inbox from December 2007 to February 2008.

How do I recover them?

Open Outlook Express
Click on Tools->Options->Maintainance->store Folder
Copy the location

Click on start->Run->Paste

In the Pop window Copy all the .bak files
And Paste on Desktop

Create a New folder and Paste all the bak file and Rename Bak to dbx and Import it you will find all the emails

I have had the same problem also.
When I create the folder, change the extension and import the file will it overwrite the e mails that are the same and just update what is missing?
