I have a existing gas fired forced air furnace and am getting a add on wood furnace. I plan on leaving my gas furnace about 10 degrees lower than the wood thermatat. My wood furnace has its own blower but I think I would like to turn my gas blower on also when the plenum gets hot on the wood burner using a snap switch. Is there a way to wire this up without having a problem. Also doing this what would happen if the blower was on and somebody turned the gas therm. Up and my gas furnace would burn and cycle?

Add a isolation relay to the woodburner blower power wires that will activate the relay then using the isolated contacts on the relay wire over to your furnace and use the relay to jump/activate the fan control on your gas furnace. If wired this way the gas furnace blower will still come on when called for by the gas furnace heat system.

This method is simple and to the point.
