Should the New York Giants have beaten the Dallas Cowboys in that playoff game or did they just get lucky.

I don't think they just "got lucky." Could be many factors involved such as over confidence on the part of Dallas, more determination to win on the part of the Giants.

Are you kidding, the Giants played with heart, and purpose, the Cowboys didn't and it showed. The played like they wanted it more, even against the Pats. That's why the are the CHAMPS.

Considering the fact that they went on to beat the Packers, then finally the Patriots I doubt that they just got "lucky."

They did go on one heckuva roll after the PATS, barely beat them in the season finale.

Dallas cowboys are getting good they got a good team and a good coach and now they got a better chance to win way much more game then they use to now they have a better shot at going to the playoffs and superbowls

Dallas has not won a playoff game in 11 years(?)
Don't hold your breath for them to win one anytime soon.
After beating Dallas, the Giants walked into Green Bay and exposed Favre's INT. problem in big moments. Then in the greatest last 2 minutes in SB history, shere heart and determination pulled it off.

The giants played with confidence, plus the cowboys were to cocky. Remember TO "Thats my Quarterback, its not fair" :(

I know I am a little late answering this question but, Look at the G men now. Sitting at 7 and 1 this season. I honestly think they will repeat. Romo gets hurt and Dallas falls apart. Strahan retires, Osi has a season ending injury, yet the D remains awesome. It is like a lizard, you can rip a chunk out of the D and it just regenerates. No, I do not think the Giants got lucky. I think the Cowboys were unlucky because they had to play the team that almost ended a perfect season for the Pats and the G men believed they belonged. I do not think it would have mattered who they played in this game ( the 72 Dolphins, The 85 Bears, The 86 Giants, The Cowboys of the 90's) I think they would have found a way to beat anybody

I'm sorry I forgot 1 thing. As for coach saying the better team did not win. I think if the Cowboys would have won this game, there would be two teams in NFL history with perfect seasons.

I agree with you big time 1099669. The Cowboys would have got killed against the pats in the SuperBowl. Now the Giants stand at 10-1. How amazing. I have a prediction for This years Superbowl!

I was kind of hoping Titans would go undefeated this year so we could repeat last years upset. Then again, the way the Jets are playing now, we may have a Giant Jet superbowl. Either way, I am sure the Giants are the strongest team in the NFC. Who they play in the superbowl really doesn't matter, I am sure they will steam roll them.

That is true. I hate that Burress is out until next year though. Me and my friend had him in our fantasy football. He helped win quite a few in our fantasy.

I was kind of hoping the Titans would go undefeated so we could do it all over again this year. Or maybe a Giant Jet superbowl.

I would be surprised if Tom C lets Burress play again for the Giants

I was reading an article just skimed through it and I was seeing where Tom and Plaxico were having a conservation and he was very nice about it, but that really didn't matter because he had to do the right thing. So, what exactly happened? Was he in a club and he accidentally shot himself in the leg?

I am worried about Antonia P also. I wish these guys could behave like intelligent adults and not teenage "gangstas"

Yea really. I am still not sure on the story of what happened. Did he shoot himself in a club or what?

Yes, Burress was in possession of an illegal concealed weapon which apparently slide down the leg of his sweatpants. When he attempted to retrieve the pistol, he accidentally pulled on the trigger. This was his story.

Wow, that is quite crazy. I can't believe that. It's such a shame. Is he having to serve jail time?

I am not sure of the outcome. In my opinion he should. If it were you or me we would. This is a crime, but I am sure he will hire some big shot lawyer and fight it. Probably end up serving some community service.

Proabably. They always get a slap on the wrist. I think it is illegal to carry a gun in New York, or at least without a permit, which reminds me I have to get mine, before obama takes it away. I like Burress but he really shouldn't have done something so stupid!!

I used to be a police office in the NYPD and it is illegal to carry a pistol without a permit. The only way to get a carry permit was to own your own business, transport money, or law enforcement. This was seven years ago and five states ago, I am not sure what the laws are now. But he was carrying the weapon illegally.

That's what I thought. Either way, he should serve some time. I want to be a police officer so bad, but more than likely it will never happen. I really respect all officers!

Why do you think this will never happen? Have you tried?

I am only 19 not much I can do now. Ever since I was in kindergarten I wanted to be a police officer. I might one day pursue it, but I don't know.

There is plenty you can do now. When I was 19 I was in the Marine corp. I served in the first Gulf war and stayed in for nine years. I was a DI for 36 months as a Gunney SGT. When I left the corp I became a police officer. I had to take a written exam and was then selected to take the physical exam. Next thing you know I was in the police academy. Make sure you do plenty of reading and keep yourself physically fit. The academy will teach you what you need to know about law enforcement. Some states require college to apply. Have you researched your police dept.

Just to give a little light on the story of Plaxico. A lot of people ask why didn't he put the safety clip on. To those familiar with a glock there is no safety clip, When you fire a glock the first pressure or click sound on the trigger will not fire a bullet it's the second click a bullet will fire. Plaxico didn't even take the time to understand how to operate his firearm. What if he was in a position where he was getting rob that night? Dum move,

I am familiar with the Glock. My brother-in-law with the local sheriffs department owns one and it doesn't have a safety. He bought it off an officer there and they don't carry them anymore but I was pretty sure that police issued guns didn't have safety's I could be completely wrong though! But yea, what an idiot for not knowing what he was doing!
