Hello, I have mother that lives alone in a 700 sq ft home that need repair work to the foundation, specifically the floors. We had a home inspection done and underneath
the house in the crawlspace there is excessive termite to the beam and woodjoists.
The home is still standing but the floors are severely dip about 2 inches or more sag.
It still has a good foundation except for this blemish. She is 64 years old and this
sag affects her health being that is hard for her to walk across the uneven floors
and she is very sore and aches. There was a lot of debre under the home the inspector
said that contributed this infestation which were bricks, cinderblocks, scrap wood,2x4
and some other garbage. She also needs new central and air unit.I have been helping
her pay the mortgage down and there are 9 years left out of an original 20.The
original loan with interest was total of 57,000.This is an conventional home with dirt crawlspace.I do not know how much equity is in the home or if I can assist her due
to my credit.I do not want the home to further deterioate but soon she will have to come live with me.She loves her own place though. The home was owner financed and
there was an only history of 3 late payments ever in the first year of ownership.
Is there any home assistance out there for repairs for senior citizens? Does hud
offer assistance even though it is not hud home and if so how long would it take?
thanks for any and all help guys...

You need to check with the senior citizen center in your area, there are often city programs or county programs using money from grants that are gotten by groups that help with some.
