My boyfriend and I have been dating for 4.5 years. We are both 21 and have been talking about marriage very seriously. He is currently in his Junior year in college and will graduate with a bachelors in May 2009. I am currently working full time and saving money. We do not live together and do not want to live together until we are married. We haven't had sex either. The reason I say this is because a lot of times when younger couples get married the only difference is a piece of paper while with us we will definitely be taking our relationship to the next level. We are very committed to each other and do not only love each other immensely but respect each other and the people we have become together. We had planned to get married in the summer of '09, but more recently have been wanting to get married sooner. We were thinking the summer of 2008 instead. I was wondering if any of you have experience with being in college and being married? Is it a good idea? I would be working full time while he would be going to classes for 2 more semesters. The financial issues are what worry me most. I'm just looking for a little advice/input. Thanks!

1000's of married students, it is hard, but if a couple wants to make it work, they can make anything work,

To be honest, the M word still scares me a bit.

A lot of my friends are currently married (at the age of 22) and they agree... it is hard. A lot of my friends who want to go on the professional route are having the toughest time with it.

My advice is... why not wait until he's graduated and has found a job/career? You've been together for 4.5 years... what's another year?
