My guest was rear-ended, bumped into the side of the car in front.
Since it was my old car and parked for a while and I hadn't bothered with insurance ,I don't use it.
My guest is has immigration issues and no license. What happens to her,me and the other parties who both had insurance and DL. This happened in California. The damage was major on my car, since it was in the middle and we do have a police report.
Do I need a lawyer? What do I do?

I need more information - was your car being driven or was it parked with your "guest" sitting in it? I don't quite understand how the accident happened. Assuming she was driving was your "guest" ticketed for no license, no insurance?

The driver of the car that rear ended you SHOULD pay for the damage to your car; the car your car "bumped" will have an action against both the car that struck you AND you - the question will be how many "hits" the car in front of you had.

The two scenarios are - car #1 rear ends your car; your car (#2) is pushed into the car in front of you (#3) OR #2 (your car) hits #3 (in front of you). Your car is then struck in the back by #1 and hits #3 again. What does the Police Report say?

I doubt Immigration will even learn of this unless someone goes out of their way to inform them.

Normally in civil issues, the middle car will be held responsible for partial damages ( but not always) so it is possible that you and your guest will have to get out your check book and pay part of the damages to the car in front of you.

So at this point, you need an attorney.
