Need more information. Please tell us what you are doing when the script error occurs and exactly what the script error says. Please be specific.

I found this procedure but I have never tested it myself so use at your own risk:
Go to: start menu > my computer > c drive > program files > Yahoo messenger
Delete the contents of stored ims and cache (but do not delete the folders)
Delete files named emptygrps.(username)
Reboot
Test

The moment I clike on internet explorer icon and it's comes up; a box stating that it encountered a scrip error and do I want to continue opening the page yes or no. I'll click yes or no... it'll go away and come right back. Then each time I clike the mouse the box pops up. As a result I can't do anything else and have to shut down.

The moment I log onto the internet explorer a box pops up saying that I have a script error and do I want to continue with what I was doing? Yes or no. If I click yes the box pops right back up; also if I click no I get the same thing. How can I get rid of this because it locks up my computer. I've done scans etc.

I can't really help with Yahoo messenger but I should be able to help with the IE script error thing. First (assuming you are running windows), go to START>Control Panel>Network and Internet Connections>Internet Options. Then click the advanced options tab at the top of he window that pops up. Then scroll down to the option under "Browsing" that says "display a notification about every script error. Make sure it's not checked, if it is checked, then uncheck it and press "OK." Load up Internet Explorer and see if the windows still pop up. Tell me after you did this if the problem still arises.

O, I just realized I answered someone else's questions. Liztay, don't hijack another person's post.
