I once heard a preacher (whose name has sadly faded into all the others) who brought up, that if you wanted to tell a lie, it's a far more effective strategy to tell a lie that is just a little different from the truth than to tell one that is far from the truth.

cassini,
God works in mysterious ways.
Many religions, some far removed from others have similar beliefs about creation and a creator.
It's another indication that God exists in many hearts and minds.

That's because Hinduism came from Christianity.

Hinduism is older than Christianity but undoubtedly there has been some contact through the centuries

paraclete,
I think you are very right on that.
I also think that God Almighty had something to do with it.
Peace and kindness,

IHS,
The oldest written records in India come from the same era that Abraham would have been signing his covenenant with I AM and those records refer to Hindu as the old religion by that point.

Granted archeology is similar to detective work, but a good clue that Hindu predates Abraham is in the language of the Rig-Veda. The language used in the earliest Hindu texts is most similar to language used in India about 500 years before Abraham.

inhisservice, and bulksalty,
It looks like those dates are up in the air disputes.
Regardless, the faith of the Hebrews is as old or older.
I'll leave it go at that.
Peace and kindness,
Fred

Max Muller did date it at 1500. However, since then we've gotten much better at both geography and astronomy. The Vedas refer to a river existing that he called myth which we now know dried up around 1900 BC that was only found in the 1990s (with satalite images). You can see where the system was on Google earth. Our dating of the dry up comes from plate tectonics. Also they refer to astronomic phenomena that had to occur prior to 3000 BC (because of the precession in the earth the constelletions appear to drift along a 25,000 year cycle. They record observing constellation in a position they could only have been in prior to 3000 BC.
