Hi Guys,

I wondered what you thought of the following tests.

My partner and I are awaiting till Monday to do a Pregnancy test after Fertility treatment.

After searching E-Bay the other day and typing "Pregnancy Tests" we come across these one's you can do 7 days after conception. They are 10mIU. Strips.

That's seems really early, but we got Two anyway as they we're so cheap. We did one this morning our 8th day after treatment. It came up Negative.

What do you think of them?

Thanks for your time. :o

Honestly, I don't go for the tests that say you can test before your missed period. These tests can only be accurate if your hcg levels are high enough to register, and unless you ovulated/conceived very early in your cycle, most likely your hcg levels wouldn't be high enough to register. Many women get false negatives testing this way. I would really suggest that you wait for your period. If you miss it, wait until you are one week late, THEN test. I know that it is hard to wait that long, but really, if you want an accurate answer, that is the best way to go. If you must test earlier, take a blood test rather then an hpt. These are more accurate, and not much more expensive (typically only 10 dollars at your local hospital) however, they are not without error, only measuring in negative or positive readings, so if your hcg levels still aren't high enough, they still won't register.

Its hard, but try to wait until your period is late. It can be really discouraging to take one too early and get a BFN (big fat negative) result. Good Luck! :)
