Hey I'm 14 and I've been having a rough social life for about a year now and I'm having trouble breathing... it only started like half an hour ago and it has never happened to me before... if I don't think about breathing and force myself to breathe then I stop breathing... it feels like I'm not getting enough air even though I'm taking huge breaths... I'm having these huge headaches and I feel like I'm going to faint... is this from stress? Only just about 20 minutes ago I found out that my guy best friend (well used to be my guy best friend) hates me and I don't know why... he's a really nice guy who respects girls but he hates me... I know I did something wrong but I don't know what is was... I forget and I don't want to try and remember because I know if I think about it I will only just get more and more stressed out about it... so please tell me something I can do to calm myself down... it feels better when I don't breathe but I know I have to breathe so I only stop breathing for a maximum of 10 seconds... help me!! I'm scared!

Because it feels better when you don't breath it seems like anxiety and that is very very common. It could be a few things. It could be Asthma, or you could have a anxiety disorder. For both of these problems you should see a doctor.
1- A doctor will be able to tell you what it is.
2- A doctor will be able to help you and direct you medications, or other useful methods of dealing with your problem. Here is a link for Anxiety... Remember, you may have a lot of the symptoms but actually have another problem. Anxiety can cause asthma attacks.

Lol I don't have asthma OK I don't have anything medically wrong with me so it can't be asthma...
Could it just be stress?

LOL... After I had a bad break up, I had the same problem you do. When ever something would come up that caused me to get a little excited, I would simply be out of air. But if this just happened now and it is that severe, maybe you should think about seeing a doctor? I'm sure its stress, but why is stress doing this to a healthy 14 year old?

I read up on anxiety, I got some medication to help me relax. Then it just went away after a few months, I was only on the medication for a little while. Now I only lose my breath when I watch America vote for their president.
