I hear through the 'grapevine' that Tennessee is a great place for growing grapes of many varieties but there are a lot of variables such as pests, organic fertilizers. I suggest you visit your local nursery and ask them for local advice, which I am sure they will be pleased to give. Seeing as you want to grow just for your home garden, you may have to start thinking about yield and what you plan on doing with the grapes when ripe. If they are just for eating, then that's good, but it would be a shame to waste a good crop so you may wish to think of something else to do, such as a small amount of wine making.
