I've been reading through old postings on this topic, but I still don't feel like I know what's going on. I have a 12 year old lab who has not been eating normally for about a week now. At first he would sniff his dry kibble and walk away. This lasted for a day or two, so I changed his food. Same thing. I bought some canned food (same brand) and that renewed some interest for a day or two again, at which time I started mixing it in with his kibble to get him back to his "normal" routine. Now we are back to the beginning, and he won't eat anything now, not even what I've already tried. It's been 2 meals now, and not so much as a lick. He is normally about 65lbs, small for a lab, but very healthy. I've looked at all your charts, and he is in the perfect range for size. I feed him twice a day, about 1 1/2- 1 3/4 cups per meal. He is drinking water fine. I've also tried mixing kibble with water, didn't help. This morning I woke up to him throwing up bile (since he had nothing in him to bring up) Should I bring him to the vet? He is old, and I'm hoping it's not a sign of the end! Should I wait another couple of meals? Any advice would help.
