I'm an international student with F1 visa status and graduate assistantship. I want to be an online tutor and the payment will be around $100 per month through Paypal.

Is it illegal for me to do it? And do I need to state it in tax form?

In my opinion, it IS illegal for you to make money this way, because it violates the provisions of your visa. But that is a LEGAL question, not a tax question. Go post it on the LAW Forum.

If you do it anyway, you do NOT need to state that fact on the tax forms.
