I lived in Georgia for the first 12 days of 2007 (lived there the 2 years previous). I now live in Florida and am trying to do my taxes online. I only earned 3,870 in Georgia and paid 8.79 in state income tax and I am being told I owe $2,000 in Georgia state taxes. Could this be wrong? Am I paying taxes for my whole year's salary that I earned in Florida? Any advice please?

You don't mention whether you continue to work in GA or not - if you do, then you still owe GA for income you earn there, even though you are a resident of FL. However, if you stopped working in GA as of mid-January, then you file with GA as a part-year resident, and pay taxes to GA only on income you earned while living and working there. In this case see the instructions on Page 9 of the instructions for GA form 500 - apparently you need to complete Schedule 3:
