Okay, I'm sure someone will set me straight on this once and for all :)
I grew up thinking Jim Steinman and Meatloaf were one in the same. I thought "meatloaf" was kind of a "ghost" name, so to speak. I always listened to the Bat out of Hell album etc. but also listened to Jim Steinman's Rock n Roll dreams album, and they should almost identical and some of the same songs were on both albums. I know Jim Steinman wrote some of these songs... but can't figure out why they sound so identical to each other. Life and Death of an American Guitar for example... and even Rock n Roll dreams itself! Anyone care to explain this to me? I've had arguments over it, lol.
