I had a leaky hose running from the hot water shut-off valve under the sink up to the faucet. I closed the valve, but when I took off the old hose, there was still a little water coming through so I completely shut off the water. I still had a little water coming through (I guessed it was because I didn't empty the hot water heater) but it wasn't enough to keep me from replacing the hose, so I didn't worry about it. I replaced the hose, turned the water back on, opened the valve, and now I have nothing but a dribble of water coming out. Cold works fine, so I know it isn't a clogged aerator. I have read that I may need to flush the hot water heater. I don't think this will help the problem because the hot water pressure in 3 other sinks and 2 showers is just fine. The only place I'm having the problem is with the one I 'fixed'.

You disturbed some junk when you replace the hot supply line and I hope you aren't really using a hose. Now your mixing valve has its hot inlet port plgged up. Shut off the main and pull the cartridge, clean it, grease it and reinstall. If you don't know how to do this just let us know and we'll give more details. It helps if you can tell us the brand of faucet.
