Hi everyone -
What do you think is the best quality a person can have?
For me - It would be sincere honesty. Because trusting a person, to me is huge.
( I also love a sense of humor - but I guess the way I phrased it, I should have only listed one. Ooooops did I just cheat on my own question :D
So my good people at AMHD, what would you say is the greatest quality a person can have?

Can I only pick one?
Shucks, I just can't pick one
Loyalty
Honesty
Sense of humor
Sincerity
Just to name a few and not necessarily in that order.

I agree with your list - and it is hard J to pick just one. But they are all connected, aren't they. :)

A brain.
I could wile away the hours
Conferrin' with the flowers
Consultin' with the rain
And my head I'd be scratchin'
While my thoughts were busy hatchin'
If I only had a brain
I'd unravel any riddle
For any individ'le
In trouble or in pain
(Dorothy)
With the thoughts you'd be thinkin'
You could be another Lincoln
If you only had a brain
(Scarecrow)
Oh, I would tell you why
The ocean's near the shore
I could think of things I never thunk before
And then I'd sit and think some more
I would not be just a nuffin'
My head all full of stuffin'
My heart all full of pain
I would dance and be merry
Life would be a ding-a-derry
If I only had a brain

When someone helps me see that I too, am a wonderful being. That's the best.

Grace.
You can be honest, but without grace, you are only offensive.
You can be loyal, but without grace, you might come off as a stalker.
You can be smart, but without grace, you can be too smart for your own good.
You can be funny, but without grace, you could hurt someone's spirit.
You can be incredible, but without grace, you could become a pompous jerk!
You can be trusting, but without grace, you could have the wool pulled over your eyes.
You can be optimistic, but without grace, you may live life in a bubble.
I'd say grace. :)

Compassion.
When viewed as a quality that I like to find in someone else, not so sure it is the best for oneself though?

Pure Love.
A person's dedication to another is the most beautiful quality a human could ever have.
That is a beautiful one. Which reminded me of another one that when I see it, it just touches my heart in a way that I can not describe...
The love I see in the words and eyes of a parent when they speak about their child.
I'm not a parent and so I think I just get lost in their words and find such a joy, that I can not even describe.
It just is indescribable I think. The love of a parent is truly an unselfish love and I truly admire their devotion.

I try to live my life with Honesty, Integrity, and Humility. Humility is very important, being humble and being able to apologize when I am wrong or I made a mistake or hurt someone's feelings.

WOW... after reading everyones' posts I can't think of anything different from what others have already mentioned. To me trust, integrity and compassion are right at the top followed by a sense of humour.
