John and Joan marry, and they reside in Wisconsin, a state that recognizes "community property." They buy a house together during the marriage. The marriage is not a happy one, and John is first verbally and later physically abusive toward Joan. John is arrested for domestic battery against Joan. He is released from custody after putting up the home as his property bond. John then flees the jurisdiction and defaults on the bond. The bondsman goes to court to procure an order to seize the property and pay for the bond.

What do you think should happen when the judge hears the case? What do you think will happen?

The judge will give the bondsmen a certain amount of time first to use a bounty hunter to find him. ( real life) if after a certain amount of time, the bondsmen will have to pay to the court the money of the bond, the bondsmen will use the lien on the house for the bond to force its sell to pay him, Since they are married, she would have signe on the bond for putting the house up. The community property issue has no bearing on this case, only if they would latter divorce and still own it.
