Are there any particular brands of kitchen faucets that may be hard to repair or hard to get replacement parts for if they break?

I say almost anything at the home supply stores... like glacier bay, price pfister (although getting better)... NOT THE NAME BRAND STUFF... just the cheap stuff.

Also, if you have to order through a catalog... that is a bad thing... never find the right parts years from now.

Also, some of the foreign brands... like GROHE... again, parts are more and more available as GROHE has gained popularity these last years, BUT there are times where I have had to wait 7-14 days until a special hose came over with threads that were compatible to faucet.

Stick to the name brands: AMerican standard, Kohler, MOEN, and Delta... parts will always be available locally, and they all make pretty good stuff.

Like massplumber2008 suggested -- stick to main brands

If you go to a hardware store and ask what brands they have repairs for

Those would be the brands to go with -- parts are available -- not China
