I get social security and a state pension amount to: $26,487.
I used to file jointly before retiring. The social security income is exempt
And the small pension is only $11,000. But I believe even if I don't have
To pay any taxes. I think I must file anyway due to the minimum filing
Requirements. Somewhere in $20,000 range?

The minimum filing requirements for married file jointly with one spouse 65 or older is $18,550 of gross income. You would have to file a tax return this year because you have gross income of $26,487.

Social Security income is exempt. So only the pension is taxable which is
$11,000.
