My Whirlpool Ultimate Care washer is making a strange noise ( rattling buzzing type) after it has filled with water and begins to agitate. It won't agitate. I didn't want to let it go any furthur so the water is still in it with the clothes! (
It is model # LSR8233EQ0 .I am not sure that would help)
I am concerned it would be very costly. Any help would be greatly appreciated!:)

See if unit wii drain and spin. If so the dogs (cam) are worn and need replaced. Easy fix and less than $15

My washer does drain but it doesn't spin

More than likey the coupler is bad since it will not spin. It is between the motor and transmission. Easy fix as well. Less than $35. Look under unit as see if you see some broken plastic. There is a video to see how to change a ApplianceJunk.com (http://www.appliancejunk.com).

No, but many times they do break and crumble away. Many times they just break. The replacement ones are made much better than the origanial
