I am from toronto, I recently was in a shop to fix my car, while going around the store, I found a snow blower, I took off the screw of the blower (the one attached to the plastic to direct your throw of snow) because mine at home was missing. I paid for the Car Maintenenace and left the building. Suddenly 2 security guards caught me and I was scared, I addmitted it and said I was sorry. They called the police and the police charge me with Teft Under 5000 and possession of stolen item. (2 chrages). This is my first time and so dum to do that anyway. The screw was worth under 10$ but the security placed in the record about 700$ for the whole Snow blower unit (they said that because it was part of the unit)

Please help. My court date is coming soon. Do I need a lawyer for doing this?
Please I need your input.

Cheers,

Yes, you need an attorney,

2. the store is tough. There will also be a civil payment to the store most likely also.

This is one of the silliest arrests, but with that you seriously need an attorney
