What do you need to become a pediatric nurse's assistant? I won't to go back to school and become a pediatric nurse's assistant. I've read a lot about it just nothing was very helpful. If you can, could you send me to a website that could help, or just tell me about it. I really appreciate it. Thank you very much.

There is much on google.com under PNA but most are geared to different States. Not knowing what state you are in, I will leave it up to you to open Google and type in Pediatric Nursing Assistant to find out what you have to do to apply/learn. Good luck and let us know what you find out! It sounds like a good profession to follow.

I'm not sure what state where you live in but where I am from (northeastern Ohio), not a lot of the main hospitals allow NA's in their pediatric department- I've been an STNA for almost 8 years, and if they did, I would have been there a LONG time ago!. I would first check into hospitals in your area to find out if they hire NA's in Pediatrics and go from there.

I'm not sure if North Carolina (where she lives) allows NAs to work in the pediatric departments of hospitals, but you may be able to work in a pediatrician's office.
Understand that many hospitals are slowly doing away with nurses assistants and LPNs and beginning to hire only registered nurses.
