I have replaced the cartridge for the single knob delta faucet and water is still coming out of the spigot. Are their parts in the pull down spigot that can fail and cause leakage?

If the diverter gets some crud in the seat or you have a bad "O" ring in the diverter this could cause leakage. Pull the spout and see the diverter on the nfront side . Clean the housing and seat and see if that doesn't help. If this isn't your faucet click on back with the model number.Good luck. Tom

No Speedball, this is about the water diverter in my shower, not a sink faucet. This is the original stuff, installed when house was built, 10 years ago. I am not sure what the model is or where I would find it.

The is a tub/shower, right? Exactly where is the diverter, on the tub spout?
