Hi I have a 2 yr old male shih-tzu that has some behavior problems. When I take him for walks he barks at everyone and every dog he sees! I don't know why he does this:confused:. And also he hates men! I think that's because we got him when he was 2 months old and he grew up around only me,my younger sister, and our mom, but no men. And my question is should I enroll him in some dog training class to help stop these problems? I would love to bring him to work with me on my off-days(I work at petsmart) but my mom never wants to take him because the way he acts! When we walk in he freaks out! Barking like he's going to attack them. But I know he would never do that! But yeah any answers would help!! Thanks

Class can't hurt. I took my small dog with me everywhere since day one, and she still behaves that way sometimes. It's frustrating, but the more you take him out in public the better. I muzzled my dog at one point every time I went into the public, because I never put it past a frightened dog, to bite. Try a dog park with your dog on a leash near the fence, and go everyday, so he can pick up the senses. Good luck!
