Please give a lot more information,
In what field do you work, what is the job title you used, job titles often tell us nothing about what a job really is.
What country are you in?
There is not enough information given to even know what type of job you do,

Ok, I will be the first to say I do not know enough about the culture and working environment in India to give a really good answer.
From what it sounds like you are in a level of management and deal with various branches within your same company. Often at least here in the US, two things help with carrer growth, one is continuing education to add to your knowledge base. The next is networking or attending events ( often non work related) in which other management persons are at to develop relationships with them.
One thing to look at, is how many laterial type management people are there in equal positions of your company, how long have they been in these positions. Next what is the promotion policy in your company, do they promote from within normally or normally hire from outside.
Is there similar other companies that may hire you at a higher job level latter. Are you willing to travel or move for a better opportunity.
And of course at this time what is the business outlook for your industry.
I know this is more questions than actual answers, but if you think and answer these to yourself, I think a good opinion of options will show a trend in your work.
