If anyone is thinking about having children.. it is best to have 2
Because from a opinion 1 child turns out to be spoilt, doesn't share, sometimes even anti social, or too grown up for people his age which must seem to you as a good thing. It isn't, if you have 2, your kids have a companion and a bond, and learn from each other - Personal opion, Agree or Disagree?

Hmm... idk. Now I'm trying to think of all the only child's I know. I can think of one who is spoiled. But her family has so much money I think if she had syblings they'd be spoiled too. None of them are any more mature or grown up than anyone else though. But I think 2 still seems better too. Even though I fight with my siblings I would never want to be an only child.

I have one brother and can't imagine not having a sibling to grow up with. My cousin's wife is an only child and she always wants everything to be all about HER.
I always wanted more siblings and I would like to have at least 3 children of my own.

I think that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard. I know plenty of only children and they are wonderful people. Of course an only child is going to be spoiled, its an only child!! That doesn't mean they are any more of a brat or any more anti social. Did you ever think that maybe the only children that ARE misbehaved are like that because of bad parenting? A child doesn't need a sibling to grow up to be socially acceptable or proper. I understand what your saying about the bond between siblings as I have a sister and she's my best friend... but would my attitude and behaviour be negatively affected had I never had a sibling?? I don't think so. What it comes down to is that the way the child is all depends on how he/she is raised. Opinion :)

I think one should have a child first... then see if they would like to have another... if they can afford to give both kids the same opportunities...
If you can handle two children... the feeding, getting up all hours... 2,3,4,5 times, etc... education is expensive, so are doctors, nappies etc.
I personally will only have one - I love him to pieces.. he is really a good boy and is quite clever (thanks to Omega 3 during pregnancy) But I will only have one - two will just push my insanity over the edge... I don't have patience... just enough for one... Two... nope... Thank you. And he will get to play with all the kids in the neibourhood, at school, etc.
But I definitely think it is the parents who play a big part in a child and their personality... since watching Discovery and other sky TV channels - some kids are just born with the wrong wires in the wrong places... but parents need to pay full attention to their kids, their feelings and understandings... cause things don't take long to speed wobble and go array.
Anyway that is enough rambling... got to pick up apple off the carpet now - Mr has finished his pieces of apple...
