I have been taking Levoxyl ,75 mg for about a year. My hair seems to be thinner. I have always prided myself on the fact I had such long thick hair. Now it is very thin. Dr. says the thyroid is now within limits. I have also lost an lot of wieight and feel awful. My voice is barely audible. Needless to say I am getting extremely stressed over this!

Has anyone ever heard of these symptoms while using Levoxyl?

Stop using levothyroxine and get emergency medical help if you have any of these signs of an allergic reaction: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat. Call your doctor at once if you have any of these serious side effects:

*headache;
*sleep problems (insomnia);
*nervous or irritable feeling;
*fever, hot flashes, sweating;
*changes in your menstrual periods;
*appetite changes, weight changes;

Other, less serious side effects may be more likely to occur. You may experience mild hair loss. Side effects other than those listed here may also occur. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Be sure to consult with your medical professional, as I'm not a medical professional!
