The toilet hole should be 12" from the unfinished wall to the center of the hole.
can I move the shower drain with a offset t.y
Please explain what it is that you wish to do? A combo has three outlets, if all you're doing is moving the shower drain then what's the third outlet picking up? Regards, Tom

A normal toilet rough is 12 inches from the finish wall... Not from the basebaord, but from the finish wall.
And, yes you can pick up shower on horizontal drain line via a combination wye and 1/8 th fitting ( a TY).
Hope this helped. If it did please rate this answer.
PS... just talked to speedball1 and just so you are clear... both numbers will do the job... 12" from unfinished or 12" from finished wall... most people seem to go the 12" off finish wall...but Speedball's right in that the 12" off unfinshed wall brings toilet bang up tight to wall. AND, for what it is worth, with some of the newer toilets they have started to make they are manufacturing toilets so that they are farther off wall then they used to be... in other words, some of my 12" roughs have been off the wall farther than I liked.
So....may want to stick with 12" of unfinished wall. Let us know how it works out. Thanks
