1) Can I claim moving expenses for my wife's air travel. She is not working here.

2) For form 2555 - What is Bona fide test. I am resdent of India. I came to USA in Jan 2007 and in 2006 travelled to China (late 2006) for 90 days. So am I Bona fide resident of India.

3) In form 1116 what should I write in line resident of (f) (India or USA).
I have passed SPT for year 2007 so I am resident of USA for USA.

Please suggest.

1) If you were married PRIOR to assuming the job in the U.S. and her air trave to join you was not too long after you started the job, then, yes, you AN claim her airline ticket as a valid molving expense.

2) Yes, you meet the Bona Fide test.

3) You were a resident of India when you earned the India-sourced income.

Note that you cannot file BOTH Forms 2555 and 1116. One or the other, but NOT both.
