Hi today I went to school and had like some crisps from one of my mates because I was hungry - that was at break - then at lunch I wasn't hungry at all. I haven't eaten since Tuesday night because yesterday I was just not hungry and then at dinner/tea etc time I had pizza but it made me feel sick looking at it and couldn't force myself to eat it even though it's the same as normal.

I just made myself eat some food because even though I am full up I will end up being ill if I don't eat soon. That tasted weird and I do not seem ill or anything.l could it just be a phae or what? Its kind of freaky!

Thanks

Its not good if your not eating, as a growing lad you should be eating good meals and having a good intake of fruit and veg everyday. I think you should talk about this with your parents and tell them the way your feeling and the way you are with foods at the moment.. It would also be good to go and see your doctor.

I would defenitly go to the doctor, maybe your just coming down with something or you have been stressed out. But going without eating is not good.

Manutd4eva, I have a nephew that's a few years younger than you, and he's picky when it comes to food. I would often tell him to eat right so that he can grow up healthy. You have to eat 3 balanced meals every day, your body is growing and you will need to eat foods that promote nutrition. You should eat a good breakfast in the morning, it's the most important meal of the day. Kids who eat breakfasts before starting school has a general increase of grades, increased student attention, reduced nurse visits, and improved student behaviors. When you skip meals, you upset your body's natural cycle of sleep, wakefulness and hunger. So try to eat balanced meals, especially breakfast.

I guess sometimes we can all get bloated from some of the crap we can eat sometimes. I would still say go get yourself checked over at the doctors !

thanks Eating disorders is associated with people who are unhappy with their weight and/or want to disappear (mentally and physically) from this planet. You don't sound like you fall under that category. You just don't have a healthy appetite and probably don't have a 'routine' set daily to where your body signals that it's time to eat. Also you could try and find some foods that you've not tried yet to maybe help you gain your appetite back as the eyes are also part of this stage - if it does not look good, then it's probably not going to taste good to you. Stess and depression can also sometimes make you not want to eat, but then you should at least take supplemental vitamins and minerals until you feel better. As a matter of fact, if you take vitamins in the morning, they tend to make you get an appetite by at least noon - and you'll enjoy eating. Try it, anything is possible at this point, just don't stop eating. Please keep us posted and good luck.

Well I forgot to add the day before at school this kid called me fat at the beginning of lunchtime so I punched him and we both got done and I didn't have anything to eat all lunch so the next day I got used to not having anything and didn't.
Thanks for your help

If you want to get rid of a few pounds, check with a nutrition specialist at school, start a diet and exercise plan - you'll feel better about yourself in the outcome. Just don't stop or try stupid diet pills, they are dangerous and you see what not eating can do, so please be sensible, stay away from junk food in between and go on a regular healthy diet. Again, good luck, and don't sit at home or the PC all day.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_9_14.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZN)People that exercise, watch their weight (and still eating their favorite things) can do it, just don't go for 'seconds'. That way your stomach will also get smaller and used to the idea of not being stuffed. Swimming is the best form of fun and exercise for young people - try it. Clinically, there is nothing wrong with fasting one day a week either - just make sure your body gets it's water.

Also I forgot to add another topic I said that my doctor said I am underweight! How I don't know but he thinks I am

Dear, now you're really confusing me. If your doctor says you are underweight he/she's going by your height and bone-structure and age. If the kid at school said you're fat -?? What do you think of where you stand? Are you participating in any sports at school?

I know also that in England, some people routinely 'purge' themselves by using laxatives and/or enemas - this is not safe and can cause cancer eventually, so please don't think of going that route either.

If you don't trust the doctor you are currently seeing, see another one and get reassured and have a nutrition and exercise plan worked out just for you.

Nobody is ever really satisfied with their own looks, but there is something we all can do about it. I ate so much from Thanksgiving through Christmas and New Year's Eve, that I really have to slow down now and hope I can get back into my favorite clothes soon. When the weather gets warmer, we will all probably take off a few pounds too since we don't need them to keep the body warm anymore.

Remember no matter how you make your choice, be certain that the doctor knows about it and can help you because some diets can also prevent you from concentrating in school.

Again, good luck dear - and next time, tell it all in one post, OK?
