I have around 800 miles on my new vortec 350 motor so when I go to power brake and smoke the tires I here the lifters knock or a gas ping noise what could cause this.

You are causing this! Having your foot on both the gas and brake is confusing the powertrain management computer.
Should something fail, the computer has the capability to record switch inputs, i.e.: throttle angle and brake apply switch, so when the dealer service department looks into what happened, they will see how the failure was caused. You may have a difficult time getting help in the future.
