We have a Maytag side by side refrig freezer, 5 to 6 years old and it is quickly losing its cooling capability. Any one have similar problems and what the possible causes are? Thanks!:confused:

Could be the defrost is stuck on, bad defrost timer, a leak in the sealed system needing repaired and recharged, evaporator fan not working or dirty condensing coils and fan. The first thing I would do would be pull unit out from wall and clean the coils and fan motor. Dirt in theis area will drasticly reduce the ablity to cool. These should be clean about 6 months
