My golden is almost three months old. I got her about two weeks ago. She has always had hard stools. She had runny poop three times mon, and again tonight. She has not had anything but her puppy chow?

Have you had her to the vet yet? She is either due, or will be due within a few days, for her next round of shots anyway. Be sure to take in a fresh stool sample. If the food has not changed, parasites may be the cause.

I brought her to the vet's tues. The vet gave the dog her second set of shot's and tested her stool sample. She said it came back negative. The vet doesn't know why she is having loose stools. She said if it did not stop she would give me some pills for her.

Good. It sounds like it is not terribly serious. It wouldn't hurt to take in another sample the next time you stop by. Many stool samples come up as "false negatives" just because of the phase of the worms' life cycle, low egg count, etc. Some of the protozoal parasites like coccidia and giardia are tiny and can be really hard to find. You may get another negative, but you never know.
Once loose stools start they can keep the bowel irritated, so your vet's pills may be all she needs.

Thanks, that makes me feel a lot better now ,thinking it's nothing serious.

Well, I'm only going by your vet's assessment! If this continues, be sure to call and let her know!

You may have to go back to the vet. I had to bring my puppy back twice an he finally got diagnosed with coccidia. So keep up on it. Good luck!
